I have written a handful of scores for silent movies and independent films.
Something New: an original film score composed with my colleague Chris White, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Nell Shipman's original film (1920):

The TInaja Trail: In 2011, I wrote the score for the trailer for a new documentary about the controversy over the organizations that place water in the desert for immigrants from Mexico. The film, released in 2014, is directed by Bryce Newell. This is a recording made by the Macedonian Radio orchestra. |

Here is another track I composed for this film, also recorded in Macedonia.

Max Wants A Divorce: As part of the Lake Forest College Digital Chicago Grant from the Mellon Foundation, I created a compilation score of music from the 1920s to accompany the Chicago silent film "Max Wants A Divorce" in honor of the 100th anniversary of its release (1917). Bathroom Scene: In late 2010 I composed the music for the short film Turkish Coffee, directed by Adam Dick. In this scene, the heroine, Clare, has just had a violent fight with her boyfriend, and is revealing to her neighbor that she may, in fact, be simply not a good person. |

Melting Pot: This is one segment from a film about the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857, directed by my colleague Tracy Taylor. It was premiered in 2014 as part of a gallery installation in the Fall of 2013. |
